Since I do so few solo concerts, I don't bother to 'prepare' much for them and so indulge myself in improvisation and exploration of my current interests. I like to try things to see what happens with the audience. Certain classic compositions are always there ready to re-explore, so my program can vary a lot night to night. But improvisation is the musical way I always enjoy the most.”
